I Am So Over Internet Marketing – thank you Gary Vaynerchuk

Yes I know this is a surprising statement from someone who markets online, however the stories I am hearing from friends who are paying out hard earned cash to learn how to market their businesses online warrant a statement like that!

The problem is two lovely friends both with great businesses that they are passionate about have enrolled into high end, quite expensive internet marketing courses only to find that they are NOT learning how to market their businesses at all. They are learning how to market more internet marketing courses or in the other case she was told her niche is too hard to dominate in so she would have to pick something else, create a product (eBook) and then learn to market that.

Now I tell you this makes me mad! Why can’t these so called experts teach these fabulous people how to market what they do, what they are passionate about, what is important to them? This is when the passion and love for what they do will help them to shine in any arena no matter how large it is.

The solution to being a little fish in a big pond is a choice

1. Jump into a smaller pond (like starting out in a local area) or
2. find that gold nugget – that one thing that is so totally unique about how you do what you do that you can sell it in an ocean.

Every word of this video is important, if you want to learn to market what YOU do, what you love online please, please do not roll up and ask someone who is only going to teach you to market what’s easy for them. Find someone who will teach you to market YOU, YOUR brand and YOUR business, your product by using your passion and your unique difference to do it.

Think about it Gary V is a wine merchant, no-one would think this was exciting except other wine merchants, his niche is making wine and he’s a star, a total star! What does this teach us? What does he teach us?

LOVE WHAT YOU DO!  and hang what anyone else tells us about the stats of our market, the probability of becoming a star on the internet unless we conform, or any other thing that tries to say we are not good enough or enough doing what we are doing.

I am tell you, here and now – you are! As long as you love what you do, have enough passion for it for your love of it to come across through your marketing – you can be successful in any field.
