Yesterday we got some traction on the new year, now we are going to create the tension needed to move us forward with some speed into the mindset and added energy needed to achieve those incredible goals!
Tension is created when you pull back on an elastic band, you know if you pull back far enough the result will be that whatever is attached to that band will be catapulted or flung far. Think of a paper ball and rubber band or slingshot in the hands of a small boy, or even a crossbow and arrow… whatever is cradled in that band is going to fly far and high, just like you when you create the right tension to achieve your goals easily.
So, let’s start creating some tension!
Start by looking at your list of goals, now choose just one of them and close your eyes and imagine how you will feel once you have achieved it. Start to visualise the day after that goal is achieved what your life will be like, what sounds you will hear, what you will see and feel, and experience on every level. WOW! excellent! now double everything and make it brighter, louder, more, more, more…!! Hold that for about 10 seconds and then let it go as you say out loud a resounding “YES!” and clap your hands.
Feels good doesn’t it? Do this excercise for each goal on your list and once you have gone through the whole list and then imagine, visualise and experience what your life will be like when all those goals have been achieved by the end of next year. As you clap your hands for the final time allow yourself to keep those fab feelings you have generated in the past 5 minutes and go on with your day.
This is such a great way to start every day and it only takes about 5 minutes. Talk about setting you up for achievement on a daily basis!
You gotta love tension… when it’s the right kind of course… LOL
